The
LVCN-300 series is designed from an operator’s point
of view, making any process and alarm points visible
on the multi-colored display graph. They get everything
they need at a glance! The LVCN-300 series provides
reliability with very flexible design options and a
friendly face to tell you exactly what is going on inside
your tank no matter where it is located. Everyone can
easily see it from a distance or while walking the plant
floor. It’s this simple to understand--if the green
vertical bar (level) is between the orange and yellow
line everything’s just fine. If it’s above or below
the red marks, something is wrong. That is all there
is to it. The LVCN-300 series accepts all types of 4-20
mA sensors, such as pressure, ultrasonic, float type
liquid level transmitters and capacitive transmitters.
The sensor input is isolated and loop powered up to
24 Vdc, allowing data gathering devices to easily interface.
Two models are available, the LVCN-301 or LVCN-302.
The LVCN-301 is for Make Up applications and the LVCN-302
is for sump applications. A typical Make Up application
is when the liquid in a tank is “lost” because it is
being used in a manufacturing process or lost by evaporation
and has to periodically be refilled or “made up”. To
accomplish a Make Up operation the LVCN-301 controller
uses a differential relay that is activated by a FALLING
level in the tank. The same relay is going to turn the
pump or valve ON and OFF. First you need to program
the Make Up ON level where you want to begin refilling
the tank with liquid. When the level FALLS or DECREASES
to this point, the controller will CLOSE or activate
the relay and turn ON a pump or valve and begin refilling
the tank. The LVCN-301 controller has internally “latched”
the relay closed and will continue holding it closed
until the Make Up OFF level that was programmed is reached
and the tank stops filling. A typical Sump application
is when the liquid in a tank is being collected and
has to periodically be transferred or pumped out to
prevent an overflow. A basement with a sump pump is
doing the same type of operation. To accomplish this
Sump Operation the LVCN-302 controller uses a differential
relay that is activated by a RISING level in the tank.
The same relay is going to turn the pump or valve ON
and OFF. First you need to program the SUMP ON level
where you want to begin draining the liquid in the tank.
When the level RISES or INCREASES to this level the
controller will CLOSE or activate the relay and turn
on a pump or valve and begin draining the tank. The
LVCN-302 controller has internally “latched” the relay
closed and will continue holding it closed until the
Sump OFF level you programmed is reached and the tank
stops draining.

three continuous process setpoints while viewing a numerical
display and bar graph. The controller can be applied
universally and is an excellent choice for use with
the LVU-300 Series continuous ultrasonic, and LVCN-70
series continuous RF capacitance transmitters. It also
has a scalable, isolated 4 to 20 mA proportional output
to assist in other control functions.

mounting system that enables the user to install and
adjust up to four sensors (sold separately) to any depth
along the entire length of the track. The track is made
entirely of polypropylene and is available in 0.6, 1.2
or 1.8 m (2, 4, 6, 8 or 10') lengths. Lengths of up
to 10 ft. can be special ordered. Select the level track
system for mixing applications with radial velocities
up to 1.5 fps (feet per second). The track mounts vertically
through the top of the tank with a standard 2"
NPT tank adaptor. Each track kit includes a 2"
NPT fitting assembly, a two, four or six foot track
section, and one sensor car. Additional sensor cars
can be purchased separately. The enclosure on top of
the track that is shown in the photo is also purchased
separately (LVCN-11 or LVCV-12).

The
Liquiphant T FTL20H is a level limit switch for liquids
in storage tanks, agitators and pipes which have to
meet particularly high hygiene standards internally
and externally. By using a gap free housing design,
providing a wide range of process connections focussed
for sanitary applications, having the right surface
roughness of RA1,5 and are able to work in process temperatures
up to 150° the FTL20H is targeting the requirements
of food applications. In addition the limit switch sensor
can be used particular in areas where other measurement
methods would probably fail: e.g. in the event of viscosity,
build-up, turbulences, flows, air bubbles, rush temperature
change during cleaning.

|
The
Liquiphant FTL 20 is a level limit switch for all kinds
of liquids and is used in tanks, containers and pipelines.
It is used in cleaning and filtering systems and coolant
and lubricant tanks as an overspill protection or as
a pump protector. The FTL 20 is ideal for applications
which previously used float switches and conductive,
capacitive and optical sensors. It also works in applications
which are unsuitable for these measuring methods due
to conductivity, build-ups, turbulence, flows or air
bubbles. The FTL 20 is not suitable for hazardous areas
and areas where the medium temperature is above 150°C.
For hygienic areas the use of FTL 20 H, sanitary version,
is recommended.
