LD-700-Lambda Checker

Provides highly reliable particulate-emissions measurements using the partial-flow dilution method. Designed for transient and steady-state engine testing, MDLT-1300 can: operate as a stand-alone system in place of a full-dilution tunnel; operate with a CVS system for conventional single- and double-dilution type particulate- sampling. Applications range from transient-particulate testing of heavy-duty diesel engines to the proposed new ISO standard to general-purpose testing of large and small engines. MDLT-1300T measures particulate matter while Maintaining a proportional sample at a fixed ratio between total engine exhaust flow and exhaust-sample flow into the MDLT-1300T. A fully program- mable sampling ratio allows MDLT-1300T to be used for particulate measurement on all types of engines under transient operating conditions.

FEATURES

Uses high-accuracy venturi flow meters to measure total diluted-exhaust and dilution-air flow rates.

Uses a piezo valve and parallel CFO to provide fast, precise control of dilution-air flow rate for accurate, proportional sampling during transient tests. The CFO delivers the minimum air flow required during a test; the piezo valve quickly adds additional dilution air to achieve the specific rate required for proportionality.

Replaces full-flow dilution tunnels.

Compact size is perfect for small test cells.

Transports easily from one test cell to another.

Operates as a stand-alone system or in conjunction with a conventional CVS.

Requires less frequent calibration checks than systems based on mass flow controllers (approx. every 2 days vs. every 2 hours).

Auto-calibration adjustment sequence Maintains proportional sampling precision with minimal operator action.
