MEXA-1370PM-Super-Low-Mass Particulate Matter Analyzer

Provides separate accurate measurements of soot, SOF, sulfate, and total particulate matter in diluted engine exhaust gas through a newly-developed vaporization and oxidation/ deoxidation technique in only four minutes.

Samples of tunnel-diluted exhaust gas are drawn through a quartz filter according to conventional procedures.

FEATURES

Uses HORIBA's exclusive, new vaporization, oxidation/deoxidation technique to provide:

Highly accurate measurement of particulate components in engine emissions - detecting levels as low as 0.2 µg.

Elimination of filter-weighing and filter weight gain/loss errors caused by humidity fluctuations.

Separate measurement of soot, SOF, and sulfate emissions as well as total particulate emissions.

Rapid analysis results (within four minutes) for improved R&D efficiency.

Analysis results and graphic displays presented on PC can be relayed to a printer.

H/C constant for conversion of generated mass of CO2 to SOF mass can be set by user.

Mass ratio of water in sulfate for conversion of generated mass of SO2 into sulfate mass can be set by user.

Strong correlation between MEXA-1370PM and gravimetric method, even for low PM mass.

Collection efficiency of quartz filter equivalent to conventional Teflon filter.

Designed for accessibility and ease of filter handling.
