MEXA-4000FT Series- FTIR  Analyzers

Versatile, real-time gas analyzers that continuously and simultaneously measure multiple gas components in: exhaust gas from gasoline, diesel, and methanol engines - with options for CNG and LPG; process gases generated by reformers for fuel cells. Using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, MEXA-4000FT analyzers measure: gases that cannot be measured by conventional analyzers, such as NO2, N2O, NH3, H2O, HCHO, and CH3OH; standard automotive constituents, including CO, CO2, and NO - plus THC and O2 with the addition of Horiba’s FMA analyzer. The system can measure both direct (raw) samples and diluted samples from a CVS. Data output every second allows real-time analysis of transient phenomen.

FEATURES

Dedicated spectral library of all target components and ranges for each instrument.

Eliminates time-consuming spectra development by the customer.

Allows immediate use upon installation.

Extensive factory quality-assurance tests. Horiba collects 100 different spectra for each range to verify instrument accuracy before delivery.

Fingertip control of most functions. Emissions calculation within one second.

Raw or dilute sampling capabilities. Sampling frequency of 1 second.

Heated gas cell and sampling line - prevents condensation of water vapor in the sample.

Three user-selectable measurement modes: real-time - data is output every second; moving Average - data is averaged over user-defined interval; integration - data is averaged over a user- defined interval.

The result is output after integration.
