MSHA-1000-Sector-Type Hydrogen Analyzer

 

    Measures up to 100% hydrogen concentrations in gaseous samples using a sector-type mass spectrometer (MS). Designed for R&D and evaluation of fuel cell systems and catalysts - as well as gasoline-exhaust combustion studies -- the MSHA-1000 ensures highly accurate measurements in real-time by providing: 2-second T90 response time;virtually no interference from H2O and CH3OH; 1% full-scale repeatability and linearity. Unaffected by coexisting gases like CO, the MSHA-1000 eliminates the problem of sensor deterioration inherent in conventional hydrogen analyzers.

FEATURES

Fast response time (T90 = 2 seconds) provides real-time measurement of hydrogen concentrations.

High selectivity ensures negligible interference from H2O and CH3OH (within ± 2% FS for 40% water vapor in nitrogen base and within ± 2% FS for 10% methanol in nitrogen base.)

Unaffected by coexisting gases like CO.

Safety measures: stainless steel sample lines prevent leakage; pressure switch monitors leaks; brushless fan prevents hydrogen from accumulating inside the Main unit if leakage occurs; pneumatic gas valves are used in place of solenoid valves where contact with hydrogen occurs.

Explosion-proof measures: safe unit configuration (electronic portion separated from gas-handling portion); effective ventilation system (unit interior constantly purged by ambient air); alarm system: (H2 sensors installed in both sampling and Main unit).
